Welcome to the new ASTROLOGYSHINES section of the monthly H.O.M.E. newsletter! My intention is to briefly share with you each month what is happening in the Heavens around us so that you may take a closer look at and perhaps better understand your journey (or journeys). I will be making astrology charts and readings available beginning this month. This service is available to the public however, H.O.M.E. Center members will receive a 10% discount. Last month on January 26 Pluto – the Transformer entered the sign of Capricorn – the Rule Setter. This heralds in a time of great changes in “structures” like human bones, or social, political, religious, and business structures. Remember our own church fire? This was an example of the beginning of these approaching changes. But good changes can also occur. Slow moving Pluto takes about 248 years to go around the Zodiac chart. The last time Pluto was in Capricorn the “structure” that was manifested was our own Declaration of Independence! Where is Pluto in your chart? Get to know this so you can be in charge of the changes in your life! Ah, the month for Valentines makes me want to review one of the love planets – Venus. Venus is not only the representative of passionate love but of what we value and what is beautiful in our eyes, including ourselves. She symbolizes the feminine receptive force, values, possessions (and possessiveness), beauty, and romance. In other words love and abundance! She is also part of our co-creative and procreative natures which would lead us to discuss Mars – the masculine energy in our charts/lives. Mars gives us the “drive” for our actions and feelings. This Valentines Day between 5:30PM and 8:00PM is the time when Venus wanders through the 5th house of creativity and pleasure. A fine sight for sure! However, this may be a year for more serious contemplation in relationship to these types of energies. Perhaps a quiet dinner with that someone special sounds nice, but prudence may be in order: for this year Venus also traverses through the very serious sign of Capricorn. Capricorn will add an air of seriousness and caution to the day or evening. What might your lessons be in love? Where or what are your true passions: Are you abundant enough? Is there balance in what you love? To better understand your own Venus traits and gifts look at where your true passions lie and remember to love yourself this month and always!
