Taurus The Bull

I write this piece on Saturday April 19th while the Sun is transiting from Aries to Taurus. In a few more hours at 3:25AM Sunday morning a beautiful albeit cold Full Moon will also occur in Taurus. The changing of the Zodiac (Sun) sign and the Full Moon do not always occur together, but as it does it is a very strong energy. As you read this try to remember what decisions or feelings you had on these days. Did you experience any unevenness or contradictions in your life? I sure did!

When there is a Full Moon it is opposed to the Sun. The energies felt will be conflicting. The Sun being our drive and the Moon being our emotions means there could be emotional divergences. Oh, sure it is Spring and it can be passionately romantic but with this position of Sun opposed Moon there also may be a feeling of imbalances between your ego and emotions, your assertion and your empathy, and your masculine and feminine natures. Initially, these types of energies can lead to indecisiveness and lack of action however, once resolved you will have great drive to achieve your goals!

This month will also bring many soft and Spring-like qualities in the star placements. I do so enjoy the visualization of the needed energies to move from Ram to Bull! This is the shift from the “I AM” (Aries) fiery striving, call to action and adventure type of consciousness to the “I HAVE” type that seeks simplicity and harmony.

The Bull sign is ruled by Venus and is placed in the 2nd House of money, values, and possessions. Taurus manages money well and makes for a good banker. Some key Taurean concepts are building, creating, structure and stability. This sign is complimented by the 3rd throat chakra. A well aspected Taurus (Aspects are the angles between planets.) may have a beautiful expression as a singer.

An important lesson for the Bull is to learn to let go of attachments on the physical plane. The loving, peaceful Taurus can be very possessive of their mates and their belongings. The lesson is to evolve spiritually while not becoming too attached to the material plane and with accumulations. True self worth has nothing to do with our physical paraphernalia, as this is all only temporary compared to our eternal spirit. Welcome Spring, Happy Birthday to my Sister & Brother Bulls, and as always I am at your service. Peace, Shelley
